Hello EUC/VDI Community friends!
#VDILIKEAPRO is an initiative by Ruben Spruijt, Christiaan Brinkhoff, and Mark Plettenberg. Three nerds that have at least one thing in common; they share the same passion for collecting and sharing VDI/DaaS/EUC content and insights with the community. This yearly research is a global initiative for and by the entire EUC community and for this reason we ask YOUR help!

We started this independent research organization ‘VDI Like a PRO’, a survey in 2013, with the goal to provide a yearly insider view of the End User Computing (EUC) community. With the bulk of the questions repeated yearly, the survey not only gathers data about the current status of the industry but also discovers changes and trends. Last year close to 1000 respondents participated in the survey, making this initiative one of the largest – unbiased – researches on the EUC market.
VDILIKEAPRO survey 2.0 – Renewed questions
We are all part of the digital transformation, the movement to cloud services is no longer an if question anymore. Due to trends, and other recent developments in the market we decided to change the structure of questions to align with new terminologies. As an example; VDI and SBC have been changed to Virtual Apps and Desktops – single and multi-session operating systems/platforms.
With the release of Windows Virtual Desktop, Microsoft also stepped into the Desktop-as-a-Service era after making the major change of making project RDmi a managed platform service. This, and other recent news in the EUC/VDI era – we decided to create a completely new section on different Desktop-as-a-Service solutions and business scenarios.

The first phase of the survey will be closed on the 10th of April this year. 3 participants will be selected to win the #VDILIKEAPRO Dutch Experience Package.
The results of the survey will be reported in a whitepaper that will be free for all (after registration) at www.vdilikeapro.com and will be presented at the Experts to Experts Virtualization Event (E2EVC) in Madrid in June – register here – and make sure to be there to see the final results as first!
