Releasing the #DAASLIKEAPRO state of EUC 2024 – 2025 Report

We did it again! Our 10th annual survey explicitly focused on End User Computing (DaaS, VDI, and Cloud PC) has been conducted, and as always your responses were overwhelming. Every year, these responses will be shared with all participants (those who opted to leave their email) and captured in a report that is available for free.

We believe the results presented in this report provide valuable insights into trends in real-world deployments, configuration, and usage of end-user computing (EUC) solutions such as Virtual Desktop and Applications and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) both on-premises and public clouds. This document will also provide a great perspective on key end-user computing trends for the forthcoming years, which will help you plan and create your EUC roadmap.

Some highlights of this survey are:

  1. Enabling remote work is the top driver for DaaS adoption, with nearly 14% of respondents highlighting it.
  2. Microsoft Azure is the clear favorite among respondents for cloud infrastructures, with nearly 50% using it for their DaaS setups. On-premises and co-location solutions are also quite popular, suggesting that many organizations are opting for hybrid setups that combine both cloud and on-premises environments.
  3. Organizations are planning various strategies in response to the end-of-life (EOL) of Microsoft App-V. About 50% of respondents indicated that this change is “Not Applicable” to them, likely because they don’t use App-V or have already moved away from it.
  4. Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is the leading DaaS solution, with nearly a quarter of respondents selecting it.
